Maroon 5 is a pop rock band from the USA. The collective was formed in 1994 in Los Angeles under the name "Kara's Flowers". It included vocalist and rhythm guitarist Adam Levin, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bass player Mickey Madden and percussionist Ryan Dusik. In 1997, the first album of the band "The Fourth World" was released. In 2001, with the arrival of guitarist James Valentine, the group was renamed Maroon 5. The next year in the life of musicians was marked by the release of the debut album "Songs about Jane". Among the most famous hits of the album: "Harder to Breathe", "This Love", "She Will Be Loved" and "Sunday Morning". This album was a huge success and became gold, platinum and multi-platinum in many countries. World success came in 2004 with the single "This Love". The team climbed three times on the first line of the US national chart, and in 2007 with the song "Makes Me Wonder". The second studio album, "It Will not Be Soon Before Long" in May 2007, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 list. The album received platinum certification, and only 1.6 million copies were sold in the US. In the summer of 2010, the third studio album of the band "Hands All Over" with the single "Misery" was released. And in 2011, Maroon 5 for the second time climbed to the first line of the US national chart, with the single "Moves Like Jagger", and the third time in 2012 with the song "One More Night".

In 2011, the band first performed in Russia, giving two concerts in St. Petersburg and Moscow as part of the world tour in support of the album "Hands All Over".
